Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) usually has 3 stages:
Then 3rd stage the development of ‘Solar
Keratoses’ & ‘Skin Cancer’. These may occur as early as age 4-5 years and
are more prevalent in sun exposed areas such as the face.
The common skin cancers: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous
Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma occur significantly more often in people with XP.
Other complications including eye and neurological problems are also apparent
in patients with XP.
